چکیده

Abstract We perform correlation and periodicity search analyses on long-term multiband light curves of the flat-spectrum radio quasar PKS 1510−089 observed by space-based Fermi-Large Area Telescope in γ -rays, SMARTS Steward Observatory telescopes optical near-infrared (NIR), 13.7 m telescope Metsähovi Radio between 2008 2018. The z -transform discrete function method is applied to study possible time lags among these curves. Among all pairs wavelengths, -ray versus optical/NIR NIR correlations show zero lags; however, both emissions precede radiation. generalized Lomb–Scargle periodogram, weighted wavelet -transform, REDFIT techniques are employed investigate unresolved core emission–dominated 37 GHz curve yield evidence for a quasi period around 1540 days, although given length whole data set it cannot be claimed significant. also color variability find that this source shows simple redder-when-brighter behavior over time, even low-flux state.

Helical Jet in the Gravitationally Lensed Blazar PKS 1830 - 211

Recent radio VLBI observations of the complex gravitationally lensed system PKS1830-211 have thrown up some questions with regard to the processes occuring at the heart of the blazar source at a redshift of 2.51, which is viewed almost straight down the jet axis. This work links, by a model of a helical jet tracked by ballistically ejected plasmons from a precessing nozzle, observations on the ...

The multiwavelength variability of 3 C 273

Aims. We present an update of the 3C 273’s database hosted by the ISDC, completed with data from radio to gamma-ray observations over the last 10 years. We use this large data set to study the multiwavelength properties of this quasar, especially focussing on its variability behaviour. Methods. We study the amplitude of the variations and the maximum variability time scales across the broad-ban...

Time-dependent simulations of emission from FSRQ PKS 1510−089: multiwavelength variability of external Compton and SSC models

We present results of modeling the broadband SED and multiwavelength variability of the bright FSRQ PKS 1510−089 with our time-dependent multizone Monte Carlo/Fokker-Planck code (Chen et al. 2011b). As the primary source of seed photons for inverse Compton scattering, we consider radiation from the broad line region (BLR), from the hot dust of the molecular torus, and the local synchrotron radi...

The broad-band X-ray spectrum of the blazar PKS B1830−211 by Chandra and INTEGRAL

In this paper we present a broad-band study of the X-ray emission of the blazar PKS 1830−211 based on Chandra and INTEGRAL observations. Notwithstanding the high redshift (z=2.507), it is a bright X-ray source (F(2-10 keV)≃ 10 erg cms), due to gravitational lensing by an intervening galaxy at z=0.89. Previous X-ray observations attribute the observed absorption at E<2 keV to the lensing galaxy....

The 0.1–200 keV spectrum of the blazar PKS 2005–489 during an active state

The bright BL Lac object PKS 2005–489 was observed by BeppoSAX on November 1–2, 1998, following an active X–ray state detected by RossiXTE. The source, detected between 0.1 and 200 keV, was in a very high state with a continuum well fitted by a steepening spectrum due to synchrotron emission only. Our X–ray spectrum is the flattest ever observed for this source. The different X–ray spectral slo...
